WORCESTER: May E. (Nordquist) Huard, 78, of 32 Richmond Ave. died Friday, March 7, 2008 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves a daughter Nancy Vessella of Worcester and another daughter, Christine Sacco and her longtime companion Michael Soucy, of Vernon, CT; a brother, Kurt Nordquist of Spencer; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and several nieces and a nephew. Two daughters, Carol McAtee and Mary Ellen Huard, a son, David Huard, and a brother, Rolf Nordquist, all predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Carl and Aina (Nilson) Nordquist, and lived here all her life. She graduated from Commerce High School and David Hale Fanning Trade School. May was a Licensed Practical Nurse at AdCare Hospital of Worcester, where she worked for over 20 years. She was a kind and compassionate care giver to those who struggled with alcohol and substance abuse issues. She was an avid doll collector and loved visits from her great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff members at Summit Elder Care and the VNA Care Network Hospice for their kindness and compassion during the last months of May's life. After cremation, a GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held at 12 PM on Friday, March 14, in ALL FAITHS CEMETERY, 7 Island Rd.
