Melinda Jurgelewicz

Melinda “Bootsie” Jurgelewicz, 57, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Born on August 28, 1967, Melinda was a kind and caring soul who devoted her life to her family and those she loved.

As a mother, she did her best in raising her children—Nathan Jurgelewicz, Robert Mitchell, and Jason Mitchell—ensuring they had a better life than her own. Despite the challenges she faced and how little she had, Melinda always gave everything she could to make sure her family and friends had what they needed. She was selfless and resilient and her love was a constant source of strength and comfort to those around her.

Melinda is survived by her loving boyfriend Kevin Carpenter; her siblings, Monica Smith, Michael Horning, Walter Horning; and her children, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Her kindness, dedication, and effort in creating a life full of love and care for others will be her lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
