Michael Mccarthy

WORCESTER – Michael J. McCarthy, age 71, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at UMass Medical Center – Memorial Campus in Worcester. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Osadchuk) McCarthy. A lifelong resident of Worcester, Michael attended Sacred Heart Academy before graduating from Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls. He went on to follow his passion of photography by owning his own studio in Worcester, focusing on macro photography, portraits, and weddings. Michael is survived by his sister, Kathleen McCarthy of Worcester, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by a daughter, Vita Tofani, and a brother, Charles J. McCarthy, Jr. A memorial service followed by burial will be held privately.
