WORCESTER: Nicholas Lorusso, 80, of 24 Orton St. , died on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospital, after a long illness. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Rita L. (Sivret) Lorusso; two sons, Edward N. Lorusso of Santa Fe, NM, Kevin T. Lorusso of Oxford; a daughter, Linda A. Hosegood of Worcester; a brother, Peter Lorusso of California; two sisters, Shirley Sear of Falmouth and Barbara Zona of California; two grandchildren, Douglas Rodgers and Erica Vanderburgh, both of Worcester. His brother, Anthony Lorusso of Florida, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Anthony and Loretta (Curran) Lorusso, and lived here all his life. Nick was a truck driver and long time member of the Teamsters Local #170. He worked at Kesseli &Morse for a number of years and later worked for Red Star Freight Lines, until he retired in 1985. He was a member of the Brown Square Improvement Club, an avid golfer, and an enthusiastic poker player. There are no calling hours. After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family suggests donations in memory of Nick be made to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts, One Abbey Lane, Middleboro, MA 02346.
