WORCESTER: Philip A. Harrington, 81, of 557 Southwest Cutoff, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, in St. Vincent Hospital, after a long illness. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Louise E. (Avedisian) Harrington; four sons, Philip L. Harrington and his wife Donna of Holden, David A. Harrington and his wife Susan, Paul J. Harrington and his wife Diane, and Michael J. Harrington, all of Worcester; a daughter, Pamela J. Besaw of Worcester; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Another daughter, Paula L. Speltz of El Portal, Cal. , died last Wednesday, March 23. Three brothers, Joseph, John and Thomas Harrington, and two sisters, Helen Tivnan and Irene Mara, all predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Joseph and Nellie (Sikora) Harrington, and lived here all his life. Phil was owner and operator of P. Harrington Trucking in Worcester for 40 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed the Red Sox, the Patriots and going to Foxwoods. CALLING HOURS are 6 to 9 p. m. , Friday, April 1, in RICE FUNERAL HOME, 300 Park Ave. A FUNERAL SERVICE for Phil and a MEMORIAL SERVICE for his daughter Paula, will both be held at 10 a. m. on Saturday, April 2, in ARMENIAN CHURCH OF OUR SAVIOUR, 87 Salisbury St. , followed by Phil's burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA.
