Robert Hopkins, Jr.

Robert “Bob/Hoppy” Hopkins Jr. took his last breath in his Spencer home on June 21, 2022. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Seanna Hopkins, her husband Edward Brackett, their daughters Layla Marie and Carter Rose (born 6/22/2022), his son Christopher as well as his other 3 children: Robert III, Cheryl and Jill. He leaves his brothers Raymond, Russ, Ricky, Ronnie and Randy; two nieces Rosalie and Roxanne; six nephews Shawn, Scott, Derek, Matt, Russell John, and Joshua. His mother Nellie (Polaski) Hopkins, brothers Anthony “Roy” and Roger Hopkins and nephew Rick Jr pre deceased him. Bob was a retired construction worker/laborer who worked at Wyman Gordon. Special thanks to Jennifer McGraw, Winnifred Nutile and all the hospice and Laura’s Angels staff who went above and beyond to care for Bob up until the very end; Friends Ray Hopkins and Pam Jones who came to visit him and all his other friends and family who called to check on him and speak to him and his children; and former wife Maria Hopkins who helped Bob and their two children in more ways than one. Funeral mass will be held at St. Columba’s church in Paxton on Saturday, August 27 at 10 am. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boys Town.
