NORTH GRAFTON: Robert S. Shepherd, 69, of 161 Brigham Hill Rd. , died peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, in Blaire House of Worcester, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Ellen M. (Dee) Shepherd; his daughter, Mary E. Fritz and her husband Edward of Grafton; four sons, John D. Shepherd and his wife Mary of Holden, R. Mark Shepherd and his wife Maria of Winchester, Patrick F. Shepherd and his wife Mary of Grafton, James M. Shepherd and his wife Marie of Oxford; his sister Martha Hall of Sebastian Fla. ; his brother Laurence Shepherd of Boulder City, NV; his 11 grandchildren, Nicholas, Jonathan, Mitchell, Kathleen, Samuel, West, Sydney, Meagan, Shelby, Alex, and Max. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Francis G. Shepherd and Jennie (Stokes) Shepherd Sampson. Bob was a registered professional engineer and president of Shepherd Engineering, Inc. He worked as an electrical consulting engineer for over 40 years and was an active member of the National Society of Professional Engineers. He was also a member of NFPA, the Rotary Club, the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Joan of Arc Church, and the National Guard. CALLING HOURS will be held from 6 to 8 p. m. Thursday, Nov. 17, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. , Worcester. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 10 a. m. Friday, Nov. 18, in ST. ANN'S CHURCH, 652 Main St. , North Oxford, followed by burial in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester.
