Roger Saquet

Roger A. Saquet, 81 passed away in Ayer, MA on August 26, 2024.  

The Son of the late Raymond A. Saquet and Labeebee (Hanna) Saquet. Roger was born and raised in Boston.  He graduated from Boston Latin School in 1959 and Boston University in 1963.  After college he married Peggy and settled in Ipswich to raise a family.  Later on he moved to Belmont where he would live for the next 40 years.

He is survived by his son Christopher Saquet of Stow, MA.  Sister Jeannette Saquet and husband Graham McFarlane of Bloomfield Hills, MI and Forfar, Scotland.  Brothers Robert Saquet and his late wife Janice of Mansfield, MA. Richard Saquet and partner Gail of Boston, MA. Raymond Saquet of Stoughton, MA.  Granddaughter Sophie Saquet of North Reading, MA. He is predeceased by his son Eric Saquet. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Roger had an infectious laugh and loved to have a good time.  A consummate dancer, he would sometimes go out four or five times a week.  He made his living as a home improvement contractor but was always looking for the next thing to stimulate his active mind.  Making a feature length movie was his proudest side endeavor.  Hewas also proud of his non-profit focusing on infant rights.

A Celebration of Life gathering is planned for November 3, 2024.
