Rosa Belyce Lavayen Quimi, 51, of Worcester, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 10, 2025.
Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador the daughter of Clorinda Quimi and the late Abilio Lavayen. Rosa was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother.
She leaves behind her children, Katherine Burgos, Michael Burgos and his wife Samantha, and Andy Burgos all of Worcester; her siblings, Leonardo Lavayen and Maria Esperanza Lavayen both of Ecuador; her adored grandchildren, Mason, Alejandro, and Alessander; and the father of her children Manuel Burgos. She will also be lovingly remembered by many extended family members and friends. Predeceased by her father Abilio Lavayen, and brother Elvis Lavayen.
Rosa was a bright light in her family’s life. She loved to dance and cook and spent as much time with her grandchildren as she could. Her happiness and positivity radiated to everyone who knew her, and she will be truly missed.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, February 12th from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Kelly Cremation & Funeral Home, 154 Lincoln Street, Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM in the funeral home. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will take place in Ecuador at a later date.
