Sally Jason

AUBURN - Sally A. Jason, 67, of Auburn, Massachusetts passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2024. 

Sally is survived by her husband and the love of her life of 43 years Joseph Jason Sr. Her devoted daughter Sonya Jason of Shrewsbury, her son Joseph Jason Jr. of Bangor, Maine. Her two step-daughters Rhonda and Christina Eskra of Worcester and her bonus daughter, Jocelyn Higgins of Worcester. Her grandchildren that she cherished; Jalycianna and her boyfriend Timothy, Kaylee, Kiara, Tucker, Tavey, Jacob and Robert. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Roseann Bashaw of Oxford and her brother Paul Bashaw of Holden. 

She was predeceased by her father and mother, Charles and Barbara Bashaw. Her beloved brother, Robert Bashaw of Oxford passed away on 6/25/24.

Sally adored her role as a grandmother and took great joy in “loving not spoiling” her grandchildren. She was known to most as “Grandma Sally” and always had an open door where you’d leave with hands full of “stuff”! 

Sally was deeply grateful for her daughter Sonya, who was not only a devoted daughter but also her best friend and caregiver. Sonya’s unwavering support and selfless dedication brought immense comfort and joy. 

For 27 years, Sally brightened the days of countless people as a cashier at Shaws, where she made friends with her customers and coworkers alike. Her friendly demeanor and genuine interest in others endeared her to all who crossed her path. 

In addition to her family, Sally had a passion for yard sales, always on the hunt for treasures and sharing stories of her finds with enthusiasm. 

Sally will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her presence brought joy and comfort to those around her, and her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. 

Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those whose lives she’s touched. 

There will be a celebration of life, that will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Kelly Cremation & Funeral Care, 154 Lincoln St., Worcester.
