WORCESTER- Sandra Jeanne (Rioux) O’Brien, 64, passed away comfortably in her home surrounded by her loving family on October 13, 2024. She was born in Killeen, Texas, but her family migrated to Massachusetts shortly after that.
Sandra was the second daughter of Wilbrod and Lorraine Rioux and one of Six sisters. Sandra was a North High School Alumni and Dabbled in her college career before she gave birth to her firstborn daughter Kristyn O’Brien. After that, she settled down and became a family-focused person taking care of her daughter while her husband Robert O’Brien worked to make ends meet. Shortly after she gave birth to her second and third daughters Gina (O’Brien) Dvareckas, and Jamie (O’Brien) Avila.
Sandra was a proud and caring member of the Worcester Public Schools where she proudly and happily drove school busses for those less fortunate for almost 20 years and saw those kids like her own, Often helping out their family’s fix their children’s toys or even clothing because she knew how to stitch. She loved to crochet and craft and always made us hats, blankets, and mittens because she couldn’t sit still.
She will be missed by her sisters and their spouses Karen Ann Wilson and Danny Wilson, Denise Ellen Zuschlag died 5/15/2018 and Witold Zuschlag, Kimberly Cynthia Hilow and Steven Hilow, Susan Marie Rousseau and David Rousseau, Diane Michelle McNamara and her two sons Collin McNamara and Michael McNamara. And grandchildren Katie Dvareckas, Tyler O’Brien, Lilliani Wenteler and her husband Timothy Wenteler, Nathan Dvareckas, and Isabella Dvareckas.
