Shawn Mckinnon

BLACKSTONE/WORCESTER - Shawn M. McKinnon, 33 of Blackstone, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 30, 2023, in Portland, ME. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Shawn was the son of the late Christine Fitzpatrick and Francis McKinnon of Worcester.

Shawn attended Burncoat High School and went on to be a steel shop grinder at Building Envelope Services Inc. When not working Shawn enjoyed traveling to Florida to visit with his cousins, taking day trips to the beach, playing video games, and adding new designer clothes to his wardrobe. Most importantly Shawn loved to have fun but prided himself on supporting and taking care of his family and beloved son.

Shawn is survived by his cherished son and love of his life Gabriel Yozura, his brother, Alec Fitzpatrick of Worcester, his grandparents, Kathryn and Gerry Fitzpatrick Sr., his dear aunt, Donna McKinnon of Worcester, his uncle, Gerry Fitzpatrick, Jr. of Blackstone and an aunt and uncle and many cousins. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents: Francis and Bridget McKinnon of Worcester, his brother, Jake Trainor of Worcester and his cousin, Keenan Stickles whom he adored. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 9th at the Kelly Cremation & Funeral Care, 154 Lincoln St., Worcester. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 10th, at St. Bernard’s Church, 228 Lincoln St., Worcester, followed by burial at St. John’s Cemetery in Worcester.
