Stephen Hokanson

WORCESTER - It is with deep sorrow that the family of Stephen Hokanson, 69, announces that he passed from this life on Feb. 3, 2023, at Parson's Hill Nursing Home after a long illness. He lived in Worcester all his life and graduated from St. John's High School where he played hockey. He worked for the Worcester Dept. of Public Works. He leaves his sister, Janice Baronoski, of Leicester; nieces: Kristin Forgues (Mark) of Auburn, Bethe Kichula (Peter) of Prosper, TX, and Rebecca Baronoski of East Brookfield; and his cousins: Marilyn Roy of Holden and Kristine Smith (Wes) of Florida. He also leaves his devoted friend and former partner, Sharon Decarolis, of Worcester. He was pre-de¬ceased by his parents, Richard P. and Lucile E. (Syner) Hokanson; his brother, Rev. Richard P. Hokanson, Jr. ; and cousin, Marcia McGlynn. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. His often magnetic and comical personality will be missed by all.
