Stephen Thomas O'Connor, 71, of Westborough, passed away on January 20, 2023 after a difficult battle with cancer. Steve was born in Worcester to William F. and Lillian V. (Alexanderovich) O'Connor on November 26, 1951. He is survived by his three children, Heather and Keith O'Connor of Oxford, and Sean O'Connor of Westborough, with whom he lived, one granddaughter, Makenzie O'Connor of Oxford, and his sister, Kathleen O'Connor of Worcester. Steve grew up in Worcester where he attended St. Paul's Elementary School, Sacred Heart Academy, and studied two years at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He worked for many years as a butcher for Wonder Supermarkets and Big D before joining C & S Cleaning Services with his ex-wife Christine Corey. He continued the business for many years with his son, Sean, retiring in 2015. Steve was an outdoorsman, an avid fisherman who enjoyed bow hunting and beekeeping. He also loved reading, crossword puzzles, and model building. He was a man with all the answers, could fix anything, and was a prodigious storyteller. Steve took great delight in playing Santa Claus, with a flair and a "Ho Ho Ho" that he inherited from his dad, Bill O'Connor, who was the official Santa Claus for the city of Worcester in the 1970's. Steve's jollity will be sadly missed. Services are private and in the care of Kelly Cremation and Funeral Care. Memorial donations may be made to: QCC HomePlate Food Pantry at Quinsigamond Community College 670 West Boylston St. Worcester, MA 01606, c/o PTK office.
