WORCESTER: Theresa B. (Boulmetis) Sampson, 79, of 161 West Mountain St. , died unexpectedly on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25, 2004, in Millbury Health Care Center, 312 Millbury Ave. , Millbury. She leaves her husband of 48 years, Clarence F. Sampson; three nephews, Charles G. Delaney, Jr. , Charles A. Boulmetis and Eugene Delaney; several great nieces and great nephews. Her sister Stella E. Delaney and three brothers, Samuel J. , Christo J. and Andrew J. Boulmetis, all predeceased her. She was born in South Grafton, daughter of the late John J. and Eva (Zaimis) Boulmetis and lived most of her life in Worcester. She graduated from Commerce High School. Theresa was the executive secretary of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral for 50 years, retiring in 1999. She was a life long member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, member and past president of the Greek Ladies Philoptochos Society, a member of the Senior Parishioners Group and the Church Choir. She had also been a member and past secretary of the Diocese of Boston. She and her husband received a special commendation from the Diocese called "The Laity Award". Theresa was also a 50 year Girl Scout, an award winner and former Leader of the Montachusett Girl Scout Council. CALLING HOURS will be from 4 to 7 p. m. on Sunday, Nov. 28, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A Trisagion service will be held during the calling hours. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 10 a. m. on Monday, Nov. 29 in ST. SPYRIDON GREEK ORTHODOX CATHEDRAL, 102 Russell St. , followed by burial in Hope Cemetery. The family suggests donations in Theresa's memory be made to the St. Spyridon Priest Discretionary Fund, 102 Russell St. , Worcester, MA 01609 or the Montachusett Girl Scout Council, Inc. , 81 Gold Star Blvd. , Worcester, MA 01606.
