WORCESTER: Theresa M. (Barrette) Horan, 92, formerly of Harlow St. and Lincoln Village, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at St. Francis Home. Her husband, Edward B. Horan, died February 15, 1998, and her sister, Rita McDermott, died September 26, 1991. She leaves two daughters, Margaret A. "Peg" Morin of Athol, Jane M. Azarbyjani of Worcester; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Arthur L. and Margaret T. (Fallon) Barrette, graduated from Commerce High School, and lived here all of her life. Theresa was a proofreader for Heffernan Press where she worked for 15 years, retiring in 1977. She previously worked as a folding machine operator for the Paper Craft and Greeting Card Company for 10 years. She was a life long member of St. Bernard's Church, a member and past secretary of its Monday Afternoon Club, and sang in the church choir for 40 years. She studied voice with Florence McGuiness Parker and also sang in the Worcester Music Festival for many years. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at St. Francis Home for the excellent care Theresa received. A CALLING HOUR will be from 9:15 to 10:15 a. m. on Friday, Feb. 15, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. , immediately followed by A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 11 a. m. in ST. BERNARD'S CHURCH, 228 Lincoln St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
