Victoria (Farah) Bitar

WORCESTER: Victoria (Farah) Bitar, 87, formerly of Worcester, died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at her home in Jacksonville, North Carolina, after an illness. Her husband of 31 years, Peter S. Bitar, died January 9, 1978. She leaves 5 sons, Sam Bitar of Jacksonville, Joey, Samuel, and Dwight Bitar, all of Worcester, William Bitar of Bath, North Carolina; 2 daughters, Grace Kanoon of Worcester and Rebecca Bitar of Cambridge, Maryland; 11 grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. A son, Daniel Bitar, died January 1, 1990. She was born in Jordan, came to the United States in 1960 and lived in Worcester until moving to Jacksonville in 1978. Victoria was an active member of the Onslow County Senior Center. She enjoyed crochet and was a great cook. There are no calling hours. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held at 11 A.
