WORCESTER: William T. Lee, 83, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness. His wife of 52 years, Kathleen M. "Kay" (Mara) Lee, died March 6, 2005. He leaves two daughters, Donna M. Savas and her husband Christy of Worcester, Deborah Lee-Currier of Worcester; three sons, William T. Lee, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Worcester, Edward S. Lee and his wife Kimberley of Lakewood Ranch , FL, James P. Lee and his wife Carol of Auburn; two sisters, Teresa Rogers and Ann Vicalvi, both of Florida; eight grandchildren, Reagan Savas, Courtney Savas, Matthew Savas, Timothy Savas; Meggan Lee, Aimee Lee, Zackery Lee, Roy Hoel; a great grandson, John Lee Harrison; and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Donald E. Lee and John F. Lee, both predeceased him. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late John J. and Margaret A. (Geary) Lee, attended St. Johnâs High School, and left school to serve in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. After returning home, he graduated from Commerce High School. Bill was a Union Iron Worker for 38 years with J. F. Lee Steel Erecting, Inc, a family owned company, until he retired. He was a member of St. Johnâs Church and a former long time member of Ascension Church. He was a three sport athlete at St. Johnâs High School and an avid fan of all New England sports teams. He will be remembered as a loving father, a devoted husband, and a valued friend. CALLING HOURS will be from 4 to 8 P. M. on FRIDAY, MARCH 25 in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 10 A. M. on SATURDAY, MARCH 26, in ST. JOHNâS CHURCH, 40 Temple St. , followed by burial in St. John's Cemetery.
